Sharifa Stevens is a writer, speaker, singer, daughter of the King and Kingstonians. The daughter of Jamaican immigrants, Sharifa was born and raised in New York, and currently resides with her family in Dallas, TX. She is a graduate of Columbia University in New York and Dallas Theological Seminary. Sharifa says, “I communicate to exhale” and uses writing as a vehicle to move readers to intersect with the sacred and the honest. She has contributed to multiple books and magazines including the recent compilation Rally: Communal Prayers for Lovers of Jesus and Justice. Sharifa is married to a Renaissance man, and is a mother to two lively boys.
